- soyatoo is an amazing vegan heavy cream substitute. i like to use the soyatoo soy whip that comes in the square like carton thing (10.14 fl. oz.) because i can either whip up my own version of vegan heavy cream or just use it as a cream in some of my recipes, like the pumpkin pie. you can order it online, or if your lucky, you can find it at your local whole foods market. i luv whole foods, but they tend to be inconsistent in what they carry. never be afraid to ask your whole foods peeps to special order soyatoo for you. if one whole foods carries this brand, if i understand the man correctly the other day, whole foods can special order it to your market too. so never give up and be presisitant!

“butter” of coursly means to slather some earth balance generously in and around whatever you are about to fill with yumminess (i.e. a pie pan, cake pan, bundt pan, etc.)

- in order to remember the difference between the spellings of dessert (yumminess) and desert (palm springs) always remember that dessert has two s’s because who can say no to a second helping of vegan chocolate bundt cake?

- always read ALL of the directions before beginning to bake a recipe

- 3 teaspoons=1 Tablespoon
- AP Flour=All Purpose Flour
- Fleg=a great egg alternative in some recipes
Fleg Rcipe
Combine 1/3 cup flax seeds with 2/3 cup hot water in a blender. Let sit for 15 minutes, then blend until the mixture is gelatinous in texture and whole flax seeds are no longer visible. This makes more than what most recipes call for, but you can store it in the refrigerator, airtight, for up to 16 days.
